this is a sentence i have been using a lot the past few days. for example: now that you're 4, you get to floss your own teeth; or, now that you're 4 you can button your own pants; or, now that you're 4 you get to clean your own room. so far it has been effective...i keep waiting for him to figure out that being 4 didn't really change all that much.
but it is true. i have a 4 year old kid. i am too young to have a 4 year old (this is what i tell myself to make me feel less old). kaleb's birthday was such a fun day and we were lucky this year that it fell on president's day so that corey could be home with us all day.
we did some bowling, kaleb's favorite.
it was at this point in the day that daddy and lyla went home for a nap and i got to take kaleb to get some lunch. where did he choose? mcdonald's of course. we ate and played for over an hour, much longer than i usually have the patience to sit and watch but birthday's are different. then we headed home to get ready for grandparents to come over and celebrate with us.
kaleb with his hot wheels cake and orange {his favorite color} candles.
giving lyla a hug because he loved the markers and coloring book she gave him as a present. she was trying to dodge the hug as you can see.
modeling the cooking attire that grandpa and grandma g. gave him with all the stuff to make some delish sugar cookies.
riding the little scooter that grandpa and grandma s. gave him.
