it's a secret that i think only my hubby knows (and i think he loves me more for it!)...i know that everyone is supposed to love valentine's day but i really don't. i don't hate it. i just don't love it. i think it is a pointless holiday. i mean c'mon, chocolate and flowers...one makes your butt bigger and the other dies. my husband knows that if he were to get my anything (which he is not supposed to!) it better not die on me or make me fatter...shoes would be the only real winner. but really all i want is a night out with corey. that may or may not happen this year with having a 2.5 week old baby but that is okay.
now, since it is valentine's week and i am trying to be more holiday oriented (only for the sake of my 3 year old) i wanted to share a few things that i love lately:
1. COREY: i love that corey works his hind parts super hard so that i can stay home with the babies; what a blessing! even though it bugs me sometimes, i love that he calls me multiple times every day and asks if there is anything i need him to do for me. i love his laugh and i love watching him play with our kids...he turns into quite the kid himself.
2. KALEB: i love how kaleb loves his baby sister. i love that he talks to her in a baby voice and calls her the same little names that i call her. i love it when he says, "there we go, good as new" and "okay okay, here's my plan". mostly i just love having him around, he is the best little friend!
3. LYLA: i love that baby lyla is starting to sleep a little better at night (knock on wood!) and i love that her ears work (we thought they didn't for a minute there) and i love the way she stares at my face when i hold her...i think she knows me!
happy valentine's week everyone!

oh that was totally darling!! i love that kaleb talks to her so cute ... i love love love it!
and i think vday is a crock o crock too! except for any day that you can have shoes is a holiday :0)
i'm with you shoes are the only way to go for valentines. we need to come see cute lyla.
So, Erin, I am totally with you about the whole Valentine's thing! My neighbor thinks the same thing, too. I'm over it, and I think Aaron prefers it that way. I'd much rather celebrate our anniversary than some stinkin' love holiday.
