have you met my daughter?? if you have then you know that she can speak in full sentences...it's just too bad that i don't understand jibberish. seriously though, listening to her talk is a crack up. she is finally starting to use some real words and i am so thrilled about that; but i will miss her jibberish when it is all the way gone - it is just too funny!
anyhow, i had to wake miss lyla up early from her nap the other day and if you wake her up too early she tends to be a little bit of a beast. she was crying and crying and so i asked her what would make her feel better. her response sounded something like this:
"asha budda wano musha adoo pretty pretty"
and i noticed that she was pointing into her closet as the "words" came out of her mouth. i walk to the closet and she reaches for a pair of shoes that are up high that she has never worn before (i have been saving them for family pictures we are going to have taken any day now...no really, any day now.). so i cut the tags off the shoes and put them on her feet.
she ran around the house for a solid half hour saying, "pretty, pretty". i love that she is such a girly girl: always into my makeup, asking me to put on her bracelet, bringing me bottles of nail polish...she loves to be "pretty, pretty".
i decided that if she wants to be so pretty she needs to start learning how to take a decent photograph on command. we have been working on saying "cheese" to the camera and she can actually say it quite well. it comes out as "eese" but at least it sounds sort of like the word she is trying to get out!
here we are, right after her nap (which explains her awesome hairdo) and right after her wake up meltdown (which explains the snot nose), and you can see that she is saying cheese right in the middle of this picture.
