compromising with kaleb

the only way kaleb will let me floss his teeth lately (which i have to do twice a day, blechk, dentist's orders) is to let him floss my teeth at the same time. i usually walk away with only a couple of achy spots from him jamming floss into my gums

this morning we get a package on our doorstep. it is the new mattress cover i ordered from overstock.com and it came in a pretty big box. i take out the mattress cover and start to fill the box with garbage (tomorrow is garbage day) but kaleb decides he need to play in the box. whatever. i can throw it out later...

...before kaleb goes to bed he hears me tell corey that we need to make sure the box gets into the garbage can tonight. at this point kaleb gets very protective of the box. he holds onto it and then drags it to his room and says he needs to sleep with it...

...corey and i go to check on him to make sure he is sleeping and cover him up and this is what we found...

he is dead asleep. in the box.
i guess that is one way to make sure that mom doesn't throw it out.

p.s. after taking these pics we did put him into his own bed...and no, i'm not going to throw the box out after all.

O.K your kid can sleep anywhere! That is so cute. And I have to say I am proud of you for flossing! :)

Hey Erin! I was so excited to find your blog through Savannah's. You have such a cute family. It is good to see all that has happened in your life. It looks like we have little girls about the same age. I hope we can keep in touch better now.- Rachelle (Young) Gonzales

Thanks for saying hi. Your girl does have super cute hair. Brandon has at least 2 1/2 years left here and then he may go on and get a master's degree so who knows how long we'll be here. We like it, but it sure is different living in a big city. We don't even have a car. Where do you guys live?
