i never take enough pictures at family parties. mostly cause i don't want to look through a camera all night long. so it usually takes my mom asking me where my camera is for me to get going on pictures. that is why there are only a few from this party. we stuffed our faces with the traditional potato cheese soup and bread bowls (mmmmmmm!) and then got straight onto the presents. we somehow got lucky and our little family got to open presents first (which of course made all the other kids a little anxious!).
here we all are, ripping away at our family present from my little sis aleksa. a new game for kaleb, cute shoes and jammies for lyla, warmy blankets, popcorn, sparkling cider, all the goods. thanks leks!
corey got his own giant present wrapped up in this box...and a bunch of smaller boxes inside this one. {warning: side story about to begin} when aleksa was much younger corey would tease her about e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g (i guess he still does it) and he once told her she should ask santa for hemorrhoids for christmas. he told her they were a special toy that make you hover above the ground so you don't have to walk. she believed him. and asked for them. good times. lots of laughs...anywhooo. on the outside of this giant box it said, to: corey...here's your hemorrhoids! after opening all the layers all that was in it was a hannah montana card. (he does like HM!). i am sure he has some way to repay her for all the useless unwrapping he did that night!!

i love this party every year. there are getting to be so many of us that my parents house isn't going to be big enough for all of us soon!
