we headed up to the cabin this weekend for a little partay for corey's office. we had a great time friday night; ben whipped up some dutch oven lasagna, we roasted marshmallows and then we all stuffed our faces with s'mores.
on saturday morning, ben waited so patiently for kaleb to wake up (he slept til about 9:30!) and they headed out fishing. kaleb's first time ever! he loved it.

all in all they caught 6 fish but only kept 4 of them.
when they got back to the cabin kaleb came running up the stairs holding these yucky fish telling me to "check out da fish we got ma!" thanks ben for making his day!!
p.s. two things pretty much unrelated to this post...first, please note that the reason kaleb looks like a ragamuffin is because he just woke up. but hey, at least his shoes matched that day! and second, if anyone knows anyone that wants to marry ben, he is available and he is a pretty great guy!

I have an older sister who is a great catch. She's 28, skinny, long brown hair. Her name is Kristen Bishop. And if you want to give Ben her number, feel free. It's 400-3574. She has no idea I'm giving you all this information but oh well. :) Can't hurt to try.

All the weird ingredients in that recipe can be fuond at Good Earth. The Manna bread is in the freezer section and the Medjool dates can be found the bulk foods section. You have to pit the dates yourself, it's easy. Good luck!
