new hoop

our backyard is slowly, slowly coming along.  this last week we got our basketball hoop setup  (um, most ginormous hoop known to man bytheway!) and kaleb is in love.  he asks me constantly if we can go out and shoot hoops.  poor kaleb.  i tell him no a lot lately because i have only so much energy per day and getting up off the couch expends too much of my daily allotment.  when we do get outside it is a blast to watch the kids love being out there.  i can't wait til it is all done (the yard and the pregnancy) so we can spend way more time out there.

of course lyla has to try sittin on the hoop.  once she was up there she wasn't so sure about it though.

kaleb and corey kept shooting for a while and to keep lyla occupied all you have to do is say to her, "i'm gonna get you!"  she's not like normal kids, she doesn't run away, but towards you.  she thinks she is the one getting you.  starts like this:

"i'm gonna get you"...then this mischievous smile appears.

then she starts running full kilter right into your arms and gives some good snuggles.  

these kids are so much fun!  so energetic and exhausting, but so much fun still.  i can't wait until i have my energy and agility back so i can be fun again too!  but until then i have to thank this handsome guy:

corey you so rock and you are such a great husband!  not only have you been so nice to do all the bathing of kids, carrying of laundry baskets, cleaning of kitchens, etc. but you have also been nice enough to stand behind me when we walk up the stairs, put your hands on my butt  and push me up to the top.  i appreciate all of the above.  you really are the best!
